Info guide – everything you need to know about the adapter grommets

The new modular adapter system IMAS-CONNECT™ is a modular designed grommet system for mounting circular connectors, Keystone jacks, panel interface connectors, hose fittings, pressure compensation elements and much more.

By utilising the modular adapter system, the cable entry frame becomes a hybrid system. Pre-terminated and standard cables or hoses can be routed and at the same time the system serves as an interface for connectors.

The grommets, made of elastomer with a polyamide body, fit perfectly into the split icotek cable entry frames, like KEL-U, KEL-ER, KEL-FG and KEL-QUICK and meet the protection classes IP54 to IP65 / IP66, depending on the grommet type.

 

Adapter grommet AT-KS – big variety in Keystone jack integration possibilities

The » adapter grommets AT-KS are based on the large KT grommet, » adapter grommets QT-AT-KS on the large QT grommet. The integrated polyamide body enables a snap-in-assembly of all jacks based on the Keystone system e.g. USB, RJ45, HDMI and approx. 70 other Keystone jacks. For assembly simply snap the Keystone jack into the adapter grommet.

IMAS-CONNECT™ adapter grommet for Keystone jacks now available with protection cover!

If a pre-assembled Keystone jack is not used directly, the hinged cover with integrated seal offers reliable protection against splash water and dust. Further advantages & benefits:

  • Certified protection rating of IP54 with closed cover
  • Easy to install due to locking mechanism: cover is fixed in the open position
  • Possibility of sealing the cover to protect against external influences

The AT-KS-AK grommet is available for the icotek KEL and QUICK systems:

Adapter grommets AT-PP as an inteface for PushPull connectivity

The » grommet AT-PP is constructed on the basis of a large KT cable grommet, the » grommet QT-AT-PP is based on the large QT grommet. The cut-out enables a screw assembly of all "compact" connector housings based on the PushPull device connection technology.

Adapter grommets AT-FL – suitable for M23 square flange connectors

The » adapter grommets AT-FL are based on the large KT grommet, » adapter grommets QT-AT-FL on the large QT grommet.

All square flanges with dimensions 19.8 x 19.8 mm (M23) can be integrated.

AT-FL provides ingress protection of up to IP65 (depending on the used flange and connector).

Adapter grommets AT-M/AT-K-M as an interface for small circular connectors

The » adapter grommet AT-K-M is based in the small KT grommet, the » grommet QT-AT-K-M on the small QT grommet. By using the AT-K-M adapter grommet several connectors can be inserted directly into the cable entry frame e.g. pneumatic bulkhead connectors M12 x 1,0, circular connectors and pressure compensation elements.

The AT-M model range as well as the QT-AT-M grommets are ideal for creating an interface for signal, data, power and hybrid connectors by simply screwing them into the AT-M thread. The adapter grommets AT-M are based on the large KT grommet. icotek also offers screw plugs to close the adapter grommet.

Blank adapter grommet AT-B and QT-AT-B are also available. The integrated polyamide body is completely closed on one side. Special bores can be made here as well as smaller flange bushes (for e.g. screw mounted hybrid device connectors).
